We are so excited to finally announce that we are moving!
25 Van Kirk has been our home for almost 30 years and the memories we have made there are ones that can never be replaced.
The many students that we have had the pleasure of teaching over the last three decades know just how special our home is to us.
Through our latest journey we have learned that home is where the heart is and our heart is with our family… our dancers and parents make up our wonderful family that has stuck with us for so many years!
We are so excited to move into our new home where we will make memories just as valuable as the ones we already share. We cannot wait to bring the DTSOD love and spirit to our new space once it is ready for us.

Dance is an excellent source of physical education, discipline, motivation and self-confidence. Children as young as three years of age will learn to appreciate the many types of music and dance styles. Dance has no age barriers. My studio offers lessons to adults and children alike.
At the Deborah Thomson School of Dance your child will be exposed to a variety of dance styles such as Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Acrobatics, and Musical Theatre with exceptional instruction. Every June you will enjoy a recital and proudly watch your child’s achievements.
The studio offers a competitive program as well as a strong non-competitive dance curriculum. We strive to provide the best in technique in a fun way that makes it enjoyable for everyone!
For those of you who are unfamiliar with our studio and are looking for a dynamic dance studio for your child, please let me introduce myself. My name is Deborah Thomson. I am the Owner and Director of my company and I have been involved in the dance world since the young age of 5. I am a licensed teacher/choreographer and member of the British Association of Dancing (B.A.T.D), Dance Master of America (D.M.A) and Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D).
The Deborah Thomson School of Dance has been in operation since September 1992. Since our opening, my devoted students have consistently achieved highest marks, countless overalls and medallions, scholarships and other prestigious awards across Canada and the United States. I have personally been honoured by being the recipient of numerous choreography awards, which are viewed and awarded by fellow teachers and choreographers across the country.
